In September/October of 2016, community contributor Steven Jones identified, reported, and fixed a major issue with the Duplicator 6. He noticed that the 4 screws holding the build plate's heating element to the alloy plate could have been over-tightened, causing them to cut into the lacquer, which would short the heating element.
